Build Blog 3 – Week 42

Build Blog 3

It’s been a while

When the new website went online, I promised to try doing build blogs more often. So here it is! Build Blog 3, It’s been a long time since I wrote my last one. Although there is not much going on in the workshop at the moment, I’ll try to give some more behind the scene views.

Twin-Turbo V8 Scale Engine

I’ve been working on the 2nd twin-turbo Hemi V8 scale engine in the past week. The customer has picked a fantastic color scheme for this one: Shiny aluminum-like silver for the main components like the engine block, cylinder heads, intake, etc., with black accents on the valve covers and turbo shielding. In case you want one too, check them out in our webstore! Final result will be in the next blog.

T-Maxx axle preparations

I also spent time preparing three T-Maxx 3.3 rear axles for upcoming EZ-Pull projects. While I was at it, I took some decent photos of the T-Maxx locking spool and the entire rear axle assembly. I plan to add the spools and rear axle assemblies to the webstore soon!

3D Troubles

Unfortunately, the road to a good-quality 3D print can get quite bumpy. This happened to me for the first time in eight years of 3D printing. It’s unclear what exactly happened, as it happened overnight.

Thankfully, I had a brand new spare 3D printer that is up and running while this one will get some serious surgery in the near future.
